From I-80 West
Exit I-80 at Dubuque Street (exit 244) going south into Iowa City.Stay in the right hand lane as you approach down town Iowa City. Turn left onto Iowa Avenue and head east one block to the intersection of Iowa Ave and Linn Street. A public parking garage is located on the Southeast corner of that intersection (enter off Iowa Ave.)The Library is at 123 S. Linn,1.5 blocks south of that parking structure. An additional parking garage is one half block south of the Library on Linn Street at Burlington.
From I-80 East
Exit I-80 at Highway 1 (exit 246) going south into Iowa City.Hwy 1 becomes Dodge St., a one way street heading towards downtown.Stay in the right hand lane and head South towards downtown. At the intersection of Burlington, turn right (west). Take Burlington to the second light, Linn Street.There is a parking garage on the North West corner of that intersection.The Library is at 123 S. Linn, one half block to the north of that parking structure.
From Hwy 218 South
Exit 218 at Hwy 1 (exit 91) and head northeast towards Iowa City. Stay to the left.At the intersection of Hwy 1 and Riverside, turn left onto Riverside and head north towards downtown, staying in the right lane.The 2nd main intersection is the intersection of Riverside and Burlington Street.Turn right onto Burlington and head east towards downtown, staying in the left hand lane. At the intersection of Burlington and Dubuque, you will see the Sheraton Hotel, and a city parking ramp.This ramp is the North West corner of Burlington and Linn Street.The Library is one half block to the north of the Linn St. ramp entrance.
From Hwy 6 East
Follow Hwy 6 West towards Iowa City, staying in the right lane.At the intersection of Hwy 6 and Gilbert Street, turn right and head north on Gilbert towards downtown, staying in the left hand lane. At the intersection of Gilbert and Burlington, turn left onto Burlington getting immediately into the right lane.The next inersection is Linn Street.There is a parking garage on the Northwest corner of that intersection.The Library is at 123 S. Linn, one half block to the north of that parking structure.
