Information:Friends of International Students (FIS) is a non-profit community organization of people in the Iowa City area who are interested in providing friendship and support to international students and scholars attending the University of Iowa. While FIS is affiliated with the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) at the University of Iowa, the organization is run by volunteers who are dedicated to encouraging international understanding. Friends are matched with UI international students and are encouraged to meet at least once a month for hospitality and friendship.
