| Information: | IC Geeks is an organization founded to promote “community”, a gathering of families and people who share ideas and wish to have others share their passions with those around them. It is through education that we can make the most difference in our community. We plan to teach a variety of geek interest and skills. We believe that it is important to get kids involved in our community. They are the future of the things we enjoy, but also the future of IC Geeks. We want to be able to see kids who attended IC Geeks classes return in ten years and teach future generations. By having a chance to see that their interest could be a chance at a livelihood, it is our plan to show our members that there are opportunities for them. Dreams can come true and to help make that possible we plan to offer scholarships and programs that allow our members to showcase their skills and passions. As “community” is our focus, it is important that we give back to the community at large by running projects at local libraries, doing after school programs, community tech squads, summer workshops, supporting local business and putting networks together who can continue these ideas into the future. Finally, we plan to have a place to where our community can gather and practice their passions; a place where kids and adults can find a place to be themselves; network with their peers and make dreams a reality. |
