BIOGRAPHY
Sarah Prineas is a children’s fantasy writer who lives in Iowa City. She is the author of tween novel “The Magic Thief” (HarperCollins 2008) and its sequels, “The Magic Thief: Lost” (2009), “The Magic Thief: Found” (2010), and three additional novels forthcoming from HarperCollins.
“The Magic Thief” has been published or is due to be published in over 17 languages worldwide. It is a 2009 NCTE Notable Book in the Language Arts, is a Booklist Top Ten Books for Young Adults 2008 (first novels), and is on the shortlist for the E.B. White Read-Aloud Award.
Prineas has a PhD in English and taught for many years at the university level, but recently quit her day job to write full time. Prineas says she’s “married to a mad scientist and has two weird kids and two perfectly normal cats.”
