- Book Group
- This group started out as mostly social workers from the UIHC, however has branched out significantly from that. There are many of the original members in the group, however many of those people have left UIHC and are in other jobs. In addition, many other friends and acquaintences of group members have joined the group. We decide on the books we read as a group each January for the upcoming year. We each take turns hosting the group. It is very laid back. Not everyone that comes has always read the book or finished it, but we always have a good discussion about the book which usually leads to other discussions. Age group is 30's-50's.

- Mother-Daughter Book Group
- Our group of 6 moms and their 5th-grade daughters meet every 4-6 weeks for approximately 2 hours. Our meeting place rotates throughout the members' homes, or at the ICPL if that works out better for the mom & daughter that is hosting a particular meeting. We all brought books that we would recommend/that we've been wanting to read to our first meeting in Sept., and each girl chose one of these to be read for book group throughout the rest of the school year. At each meeting the hosts provide some sort of snack, the 12 of us discuss the book altogether, and then the hosts have prepared some kind of very simple book-related craft for the girls to do while the moms chat.
