Computer Classes

The Iowa City Public Library is dedicated to helping the public gain access to technology, and then offering support in using it in day-to-day life. We are offering these upcoming classes.

eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines

Do you download? Join the ICPL staff for a demonstration of our eMedia services. We will show you how to download eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines. We can answer any questions and troubleshoot any problems that you may have. Registration is required. Register online or by calling 356-5200.

CoderDojo Iowa City - ICPL Coding Club

At a CoderDojo, young people learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and more! This event will be aimed at Grades 5-12. Ongoing meetings will be held the second Saturday of each month from 2-4 p.m.

Library-Community Writing Center

Adults and teens: get one-on-one help with your writing from University of Iowa writing tutors at the Library-Community writing center satellite in the Second Floor Training Lab.

Lemme and Mann Elementary students will teach older adults how to Skype. Drop In Tech Help

The Library offers drop in tech help in the 2nd floor Computer Lab. The public can find a knowledgeable staff member to answer any tech question at these weekly drop-in computer lab days.

Senior Tech Zone

Senior Tech Zone, a partnership with the Johnson County Livable Community for Successful Aging, providers tech support and computer access for seniors. Support is provided by senior JCLC volunteers.

Thursday:10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
