Newbery Medal Award Books
The Newbery Medal is awarded annually to the authors of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children published during the preceding year. It is named for John Newbery, a famous English publisher and seller of children's books. The medal is awarded by the Association for Library Service to Children, American Library Association.
