Stories in the Park at Willow Creek:

Held in Willow Creek Park, West Benton Street and Teg Drive, Iowa City. A preschool-age program where longer stories and picture books are combined with fingerplays, songs, and action rhymes. Children's books will available for checkout. Library cards can be issued and updated. Preschool Storytime is recommended for children who are 3 years old and up. In case of rain, the Preschool Storytime will be held in the Storytime Room, Iowa City Public Library.

Totally Tweens: Glow-in-the-Dark Lock-In

For children in grades 3rd-6th.

Celebrate the end of Summer Reading by staying late at the library. Enjoy a glow-in-the-dark games, temporary hair colors, snacks, and more before taking over the library after it closes. For Caregivers: Please fill out a permission slip at the Children's desk prior to the event. Children will be dropped off in Meeting Room A and picked up by the after-hours book drop at 9:30.

In present-day Auradon, Ben, the teenaged son of King "Beast" and Queen Belle, is poised to take the throne. He offers a chance for redemption for the trouble making offspring of Disney's classic villains: Cruella De Vil (Carlos), Maleficent (Mal), the Evil Queen (Evie) and Jafar (Jay) who were exiled to the remote Isle of the Lost. The villains' descendants have been granted permission to attend prep school in the kingdom with the Disney heroes' kids.
