Mini Wind Turbine Program with UNI-CEEE
Build and test a mini-wind turbine with UNI's Center for Energy and Environmental Education. For children in Grades 3-6. To ensure adequate supplies and space, registration begins April 20 and is limited to 50. To register, contact the Children’s Desk, 356-5200 or email child1@icpl.org

Author Visits
The Iowa City Public Library is dedicated to offering a variety of experiences with local and nationally-renowned authors to the public. Past authors have included Jan Brett, Jack Gantos and Linda Sue Park. Authors in 2010 include Sarah Prineas and John Coy. |

Kid's Chess Tournament
Each fall the Library hosts a free chess tournament for Grades 3-6 (or younger if ranked with the United States Chess Federation). Cosponsored by the Hawkeye Chess Club. |
