Listening and Viewing

Portable DVD Players

Portable DVD players are available for checkout to be used inside the Library. These may be used to watch Library DVDs or personal DVDs. The checkout period for the players is three hours. Players are available from the Help Desk on the 1st floor and from the Page Station on the 2nd floor. Use of the players is first-come, first-served.

Patrons who check out a portable DVD player must leave an ID. Acceptable IDs include:

  • ICPL Library Card
  • Bank or credit card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Driver's license
  • Government ID
  • Non-ICPL Library card
  • Passport
  • School ID
  • Social Security Card
  • Voter's Registration Card

Patrons may also checkout headphones when they checkout a player. To comply with US Copyright law, only two sets of headphones will be distributed per player. Patrons using Library-issued players must follow established Library policies including:

Children's Stations

Children (preschool through 6th grade) can listen to compact discs and watch DVDs on equipment in the Children's Room. To use any of this equipment, ask at the Children's Room Desk.
