Remote Bookdrop Return Locations The Iowa City Public Library's remote book drops are available at two locations for returning most library items- books, videocassette tapes and compact disc recordings may be returned at these sites.

Two containers are available at each location: a larger one for books and a somewhat smaller one for audiovisual materials. The units are emptied daily. Items returned after 1:00pm are considered returned the next business day.

Any item that doesn't fit in the book drop slots--such as large framed posters and other art-work--should be returned to the downtown Library, 123 S. Linn St.

The east side book drop is located at the Hy-Vee Food Store at 812 S. 1st Avenue

The west side book drop is located at the University of Iowa Community Credit Union office at 825 Mormon Trek Blvd.
