807. Media Use Policy

807.1

The purpose of the Media Use Policy is to assure audiovisual equipment necessary for use of collections is available either onsite or for checkout. Library collections include materials in a variety of formats, some requiring equipment for their use.

807.2

Equipment is provided for, but is not restricted to, the use of Library materials.

807.3

The library is not responsible for damage to personal equipment from use of Library materials or for damage to personal materials used on Library equipment.

807.4

Equipment users are responsible for damage to equipment or Library materials and may be billed for amounts up to the cost of repair or replacement.

807.5

Motion pictures rated "R" or "NC 17" by the Motion Picture Association of America and personal or non-library visual materials may not be viewed in the Children's Room.

807.6

The total number of patrons viewing a work will be limited to comply with public performance guidelines.

807.7

Time and use limits may be placed on in-house equipment in order to provide access to as many users as possible or where accommodating software requirements is impractical.
