Press ReleaseICPL announces January Classes for Adults

A new relationship, whether romantic or simply friendship, can be a fun way to liven up the dreary winter months after the holidays. The Iowa City Public Library is going to put on a series of classes on online dating.

At the first session, learn about the online dating landscape from Tinder to OurTime. Compare different sites and their features to decide which ones might be worthwhile for your dating adventure and which aren’t. The class will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 12, in Meeting Room D.

Figure out how to create an online profile that best represents you at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 19. Find out what you need to know and how to share things in a fun and safe way. This class will also be held in Meeting Room D.

Join us for the third class in the series which will help you figure out how to identify potential impostors and stay safe in your interactions online. Once you’ve sifted through your potential suitors, learn the various ways of interacting with them prior to meeting in person. This class will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 26 in Meeting Room D.

Participants can sign-up for all three sessions or attend those that feature topics they are interested in learning more about. Classes are free, so patrons should register early.
