April tech classes

We have some creative tech events planned for April:

Put a Poem On It
Thursday, April 7, 7-8pm
Digital Media Lab, in person

Put some poetry on a candle in this creative National Poetry Month event! You’ll select a favorite line of poetry, play with typography to make it look good (in a program like Word, Powerpoint, Canva, or Illustrator), create a transfer using packing tape and a printout of your design, and put your one-of-a-kind sticker on a glass candle holder. Add some more poetry to your home or share it as a unique gift!

Please register, as supplies are limited.

Digital House Art
Thursday, April 21, 7-8pm
Digital Media Lab, in person

Whether you love your current house or are nostalgic for a place you used to live, let’s make some art that shows it. Using one of your photos or a Google Maps image, we’ll trace the shape in Adobe Illustrator using Wacom drawing tablets. You choose the style – a simple line drawing, a colored-in illustration using Illustrator’s many interesting brushes, a line drawing over a splash of “watercolor,” or whatever else you can think of.

Registration required, due to our number of drawing tablets.
