If you think ebooks are the only service we can provide while closed, you’re missing out!
You can still:
Take something home
- Get books, DVDs, music, books on CD, magazines, and video games through curbside pick-up or mail delivery
- Get free black and white printing until the building reopens!
- Borrow a ukulele, telescope, bike repair kit, energy efficiency tools, bird watching kit, and more: search the catalog for a Discovery Kit
- Pick up framed artwork at curbside: search the catalog for “art work”
- Request a craft-to-go bag for kids
- Play with a new-to-you toy from the library
- Request interlibrary loans of anything ICPL doesn’t own. Have an obscure book you’d love to read? Want to re-watch an old TV show? We’ll try to get it for you!
Browse books and get recommendations
- Use our new personalized recommendation service, Staff Picks... Just for You! With a bit of information about your favorites, library staff will reply with 3-5 custom suggestions.
- Browse new items on the NEW page, under Books & More. We know you love to browse for books in-person, so try this digital alternative!
- See what library staff are reading in Staff Picks
Put in some high-quality screen time
- Attend a live online program! Look at our Calendar for what’s coming up next and get registered.
- See past events on The Library Channel, and feel like you’re sitting in Meeting Room A again.
- Watch 5 extra Kanopy films per month (for a total of 15!)
- Read NYTimes.com for free - get your 72-hour pass
- Flip through digital magazines on RBdigital and Flipster
- Learn a language with Mango
- Ask a research question (big or small!) by email, chat, or phone
- Look up your birthday in the Local News Index
- Browse local history in the Digital History Project
- Get ebooks and e-audiobooks, of course…
You know what else you can do, even though we’re closed?
- Get a library card for the first time! Apply now
