One way we can discover new stories around the world (and beyond) is to encourage cultural literacy. On Wednesdays, join us for an activity that will help us learn and understand something new about different world cultures. Morocco boasts a rich tradition of tile designs (zellige), displayed in many interior and exterior architectural contexts. These colorful, dramatic patterns capture the imagination and aesthetic sensibility of the Moroccan people over hundreds of years. Zellige is typically a series of patterns utilizing colourful geometric shapes. Each child today will have an opportunity to create own Zellige tile artwork!
