Today is Children's Day in Japan, a national holiday to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness. On this day, families raise the carp-shaped koinobori flags with one carp for the father, one for the mother, and one carp for each child. The Japanese consider it to be the most spirited fish -- so full of energy and power that it can fight its way up swift-running streams and cascades. Stop by the Storytime Room to celebrate and create your own Koinobori flag!
Sunday Fun Days are designed for children and their families to enjoy together.
