03/02/2020 1:00pm 03/02/2020 2:00pm School's Out, Lighten Up: a Yoga and Meditation Retreat for Tween and Teen Girls Stress - over schoolwork, friendships, body image, or other parts of our lives - can affect our physical and mental health. Join us to learn practical tools for coping with these struggles with the help of Jackie Kamradt, a yoga instructor at Heartland Yoga and doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Iowa. Jackie focuses on mind-body connections and will be our guide for this retreat, leading us through guided meditation and mindfulness practices interwoven with yoga poses, as well as teaching us calming and centering exercises we can use in our daily lives. This program is intended for girls and non-binary individuals in grades 3-12. Please wear comfortable clothing. No previous yoga experience is necessary to enjoy this program.
