01/26/2021 4:00pm 01/26/2021 5:30pm Totally Tweens: Stitch-Along with Mari: Embroidered Snowflakes Kids in grades 3-6, do you want to learn a new creative skill this winter? Embroidering is a wonderful way to pass the time during the slow winter months, and once you learn a few simple stitches, the embroidery possibilities are endless! Register for this embroidery program with Mari to receive a ready-to-stitch snowflake pattern on fabric in a hoop, as well some thread colors to choose from. Follow along on Zoom to learn how to draw out a pattern with a couple tools, how to thread a needle, a few types of stitches and how to finish your project. We will be using a free pattern from DMC which offers hundreds of patterns for all embroidery levels. You might not finish in the time during the Zoom program, but you will have the knowledge and tools needed to complete your first embroidery project. This program is for kids in grades 3-6 only, and since the program can't be in person, an adult is required to help supervise because learning a new fine motor skill can be challenging. Materials will be available for pickup from the library Jan 20-26. Iowa City Public Library Iowa City Public Library America/Chicago public
