No need to wait for confirmation, craft reservations will be available immediately at the lobby desks. If you would like crafts but do not want to leave your vehicle, call the library at 319-356-5200 and a staff person can deliver materials to your car, including the weekly craft. For Black History Month, we are featuring a new picture book each week that will be always available to borrow online via our Digital Library collection Overdrive for the entire month of February using the app Libby. This week we are highlighting tennis stars and sisters Serena and Venus Williams with the book Sisters and Champions: The True Story of Venus and Serena Williams by Howard Bryant. This story details the sisters' journey from a barely-there tennis court in Compton, CA, to Olympic gold medals and becoming the #1 ranked women in the sport of tennis. Read this book and make a fun indoor tennis game craft, Balloon Tennis! Register for Sunday Fun Day Craft-To-Go Kits from the events page with the registration link below. Kits can be reserved through this calendar event and picked up during our Lobby Grab and Go hours, from 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday and noon-5pm on Sunday. Limit to one kit per child in a household. A new craft kit will be offered every Monday and be available until Saturday or as supplies last, so check out the calendar for new crafts weekly!
