Library EventSunday Fun Day: Seed Bombs

Kit only

Kit available for pickup Apr 5 - 11, 2021

Registration is closed.

We are celebrating the arrival of Spring and Earth Day in April, so we will be featuring a new nonfiction picture book about appreciating nature each week that will be always available to borrow online via our Digital Library collection Overdrive for the entire month of April using the app Libby. This week we are highlighting the book Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner. Up in the garden, the world is full of green—leaves and sprouts, growing vegetables, ripening fruit. But what goes on in the dirt? This week's craft will show you how to make seed bombs, a fun, easy way to garden! Mix seeds with clay and dirt to form little balls and simply throw, let the rain fall, and watch them grow!

Register for Sunday Fun Day Craft-To-Go Kits from the events page with the registration link below. Kits can be reserved through this calendar event and picked up during our Lobby Grab and Go hours, from 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday and noon-5pm on Sunday. Limit to one kit per child in a household. A new craft kit will be offered every Monday and be available until Saturday or as supplies last, so check out the calendar for new crafts weekly!

We are decreasing the amount of reserved spots, but we will have extra crafts available in the lobby throughout the week, so if you're not sure if you will be able to come pick up your crafts or miss registration, consider coming to the library to grab one in the lobby.

If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.

This event is open to the public.
