This month's "Family Night" activity is actually a daytime activity and it's for absolutely everyone to enjoy! This event activity kit includes a ready to-go kit that can be picked up during our Library hours, Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm and Sundays 12-5pm. Look for a new activity each month, and you can even request a book bundle with five items to supplement the activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family! When you register, make a plan to pick up the kit the week of the event.
The best way to observe Earth Day is to get out in nature and appreciate everything it has to offer, and you don't have to travel far! Register for a local hike kit to receive lots of great resources to help engage you on a local hike at Hickory Hills or Squire Point. Through a collaboration with Iowa City Parks & Rec, we have curated fun activities to enhance a hike that maybe you've done before, but not like this! Anyone will enjoy these challenges, Iowa City trail scavenger hunts, local plant and animal identification, "trail treats" and more! Only 1 kit per household is needed.
