Did you know some of the most famous mathematicians are such slow, deep thinkers that their grade school teachers told them they would never be any good at math? Did you know some of the greatest mathematicians invented ideas that had no practical application until hundreds of years after their death? Still others had to assume hidden identities or pseudonyms to be taken seriously by some of their colleagues? Learn about how mathematicians play, question, think, and imagine to learn about and discover new ideas in mathematics every day. Learn how mathematicians use their voice and their vision to help shape the future of our country and planet. Come learn what mathematicians do through a set of books read aloud, and then get hands-on and practice thinking and playing like a mathematician! This program is for kids in grades 3-6.
