Zoom event + kit
Kit available for pickup May 17 - 24, 2021
Registration is closed.
Let's combine two types of creativity in one relaxing hour! Make a simple layered watercolor painting in varying shades of blue with supplies provided. While each layer dries, we'll do some thoughtful guided journaling with 3-5 minute prompts such as "If I could make one thing disappear today, it would be..." and "What would I do if I was given $10,000 I couldn't keep?" from the book "Burn After Writing" by Sharon Jones. Your writing will be private, but there will be a chance after each prompt to share anything interesting that you thought about.
Register by tapping the green button above, and plan to pick up your supply kit for this event at the Children's Desk anytime the library is open from May 17-24. Then, join us on Zoom on May 25 for the program - the Zoom link will be in your confirmation email after registering, as well as a reminder email sent the day of the event.
This program is for children in grades 3-6.
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
This event is open to the public.
