09/28/2021 5:00pm 09/28/2021 6:00pm Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us Jason Reynolds has been named the inaugural Honorary Chair for Banned Books Week 2021. The theme this year is "Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us" rings particularly true for him. Two of his books, All American Boys and Stamped, while critically acclaimed appeared on the Top Ten Most Challenged books of 2020. Reynolds is a fierce advocate of how stories can unite us and that if some stories are excluded we are not getting the true picture of the world we live in. In this event we'll talk Banned Books, make some Banned Book Art and jewelry and celebrate the right to read whatever we want! Crafts will be first come, first served.
