Talk by University of Iowa Information Literacy Librarian Timothy Arnold.
During this talk you will learn strategies that you can use every day to distinguish quality credible sources online from disinformation. We will discuss some important terms like disinformation, bias, fact and opinion. We will also learn a technique that allows you to find out whether a website or social media social post is legitimate or meant to deceive you. After this talk, you will be able to verify trustworthy sources online and be a savvy consumer of online information.
