Zoom event
Registration is closed.
The 12 states known as the American Midwest (IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, Oh, SD, WI) have produced some of America’s most well-loved authors and award-winning fiction.
Although Iowa is the geographic heart of the Midwest, there are many authors and books from the other 11 states that represent the heartland.
There are many lists of recommended Midwestern books and authors available online:
Book Riot: https://bookriot.com/100-must-read-books-american-midwest/
Goodreads (the home of lists of lists) has a variety of lists about the Midwest: https://www.goodreads.com/list/tag/midwest
Not a traditional book group, Let's Talk Books is a series of casual online conversations about books. We meet on Zoom the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evening of each month and the genre or theme for the discussion changes each time. Join us to talk books with other like-minded readers! Bring some recommendations to share or just join the conversation to get some suggestions from others.
Register here and you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom login details. You'll also get a reminder email a few days before the event. Everyone is welcome!
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
This event is open to the public.
