The Book End

The Book End Exterior

Proceeds from sales at The Book End bookstore directly benefit these Iowa City Public Library programs: Children's Summer Reading Program, Teen Summer Reading Program, Author in Residence, and Art Purchase Prize, in addition to buying new materials for the Library collection.

A volunteer committee of the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation, the Book End Committee, works with the Library's Development office to oversee operations at The Book End store. Selling quality used books is the passion of The Book End. Bargain prices start at just 25¢.

Donations

The Book End accepts donations of used books, DVDs and CDs in good condition, and audio and video tapes. You may deliver donations during Library hours to the Help Desk on the first floor of the Library, or call the Library Development Office at 319.356.5249 or email pmccarthy@icpl.org to arrange for pickup of donations if you are unable to bring them.

The Book End does not accept: damaged books, magazines, textbooks, Readers Digest condensed books, dated materials, LP records, encyclopedias, or used fill-in-the blank books.

Location

The Book End is located on the second floor of the Iowa City Public Library.
