The Library provides a wide-range of state and federal tax forms as well as books and online resources to help with your tax preparations.
Throughout the tax season you can e-file in the computer Training Lab, or--if you qualify--get free federal tax assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA).

ICPL Income Tax FAQ
The Library's Income Tax FAQ answers the "frequently asked questions" about filing taxes. It includes important addresses and phone numbers for filers.
Volunteer Tax Assistance
Free federal tax help for qualifying families and individuals. Service is for federal returns only. Get information and dates for Downtown Iowa City and other community locations. A Spanish version of the document is also available.

The Library offers extended time in the computer Training Lab on the second floor for patrons wishing to do their own taxes. Please check the calendar for available dates and times:

Business and Self-Employed Taxpayers: Federal Forms
Due to changes in the IRS policy, the Iowa City Public Library is no longer able to provide business forms as we have in the past. Please visit the IRS website to order forms or Social Security Administration for employers to prepare and file W-2 forms.
