Tax Help at ICPL
The Iowa City Public Library provides several resources to help you through the Tax season. Stop by ICPL to get the tax forms you need, pick up books and other materials to help you complete your taxes, get free federal tax assistance through the VITA program, and e-file your taxes in the computer Training Lab.
The Library also provides a variety of online resources and links to enable you to research and download additional tax information. Use the links provided on this page to access the information you need.
The Treasury will begin sending economic stimulus payments starting in May.

The Training Lab computers are available with extended time to e-file taxes. Tax assistance is not available in the Lab, but patrons will have more time than what's allowed at regular Internet workstations. Check the Library's calendar for available dates and times.

The VITA program is available for FREE on select Sundays and Wednesdays at ICPL. Individuals with simple tax returns who cannot afford professional assistance can get help with their federal returns.
