What if I forget my card?

You can borrow materials with a photo ID.

I’ve lost my card. How can I get a replacement?

You can get one free replacement per year with a photo ID, additional replacements are $1. Also, let us know if your card is stolen because then we can put a note in your account so no one can use it.


How can I renew my library books, movies, etc?

Log in to your account or call the library to renew your items. Also, please verify that the due date has changed for all items you attempted to renew.

Why can’t I renew this item?

Possible reasons for not being able to renew items include:

  • The item is overdue
  • Someone else has reserved the item
  • It's an Express item
  • It has already been renewed
  • Your card has expired
  • Your account has fines over $10
  • Your account has been blocked

Requesting/Placing Holds

How many items can I request?

12 items, though additional items may be requested by a staff member at the Help Desk for 50¢ each.

How will I be notified when my requested item is available?

We can send notification by email, phone, or postal mail. If you’re having problems getting our notification emails, add to your address book.

Why can’t I request this item?

Express items and Bookmobile items are not able to be requested, however, you can still stop by their location to pick them up.

What if I don’t need a requested book right away?

You can suspend your request on an item by logging into your account and freezing it. This prevents you from losing the item if, for example, you’re on vacation and can’t get to the library to pick it up.

Why can’t I freeze this book?

Items that are currently available, have a Ready status, or were requested more than 8.5 months ago can’t be frozen.

Where do I pick up my requested items?

You can choose to pick up your requested items at the Downtown Library or on the Bookmobile when placing the hold.

Password / Pin

What if I forgot my password?

You can reset your password using the password reset page. If you don't have an email in your account, contact the Library.

I’ve never had a password. How do I set my password?

You can also set your password using the password reset page.


What is my expiration date?

Log in to your account or contact the Library for your expiration date.

How do I renew my library card?

Call the library, stop by the Help Desk, or contact us by email or chat. We’ll verify your contact information and then renew your card.
