Our next Guys Read meeting will be March 23, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in Meeting Room E (on the 2nd Floor of the Library). We’ll be talking about "Skulduggery Pleasant" by Derek Landy (and its sequels). With pizza. Guys in Grades 5-8 are invited.

Guys Read, a literacy initiative founded by children’s author Jon Scieszka, is designed to draw attention to boys’ literacy and to help boys become self-motivated, lifelong readers.

Brian works as the Senior Adult Services Librarian at the Iowa City Public Library.
A friend of mine said that this is his favorite show ever, but I was skeptical. Next thing you know, I'm so invested that I'm talking to the characters while I'm watching it. It's violent, intense, and I absolutely love it. -Brian
