But of his most recognizable features don't appear in the original stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. So who exactly is Sherlock Holmes? Monica Schmidt explorers where the literature ends and the pop culture begins. Monica Schmidt has a degree in Cinema Studies and Media Culture from the University of Minnesota. She is the president of the The Younger Stamfords of Iowa City. She is also a member of several Sherlockian organizations, including The Hounds of the Baskerville, The Adventuresses of Sherlock Holmes, The Norwegian Explorers of Minnesota, and The John H. Watson Society. Monica is also the Outpatient Clinical Supervisor for Prelude Behavioral Services in Iowa City, Iowa. This event is part of the ICPL's Celebration of the 125th Anniversary of publication of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
