John Sandford is the pseudonym for the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist John Camp. He is the author of twenty- nine Prey novels, most recently Neon Prey; four Kidd novels; twelve Virgil Flowers novels; and six other books, including three young-adult novels coauthored with his wife, Michele Cook. A Cedar Rapids native, Camp graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in American Studies in 1966, and a master's degree in journalism in 1971. In between he served two years in the US Army in Korea. Camp won the Pulitzer Prize in journalism in 1986.
