In honor of Black History Month, join us to make a wreath of paper handprints representing the colors of the Pan-African flag.
The Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League designed and formally adopted the flag in 1920 in response to a racially demeaning popular song. The UINA-ACL constitution explains the significance of the colors used: "red representing the noble blood that unites all people of African ancestry, the color black for the people, and green for the rich land of Africa."
Sunday Fun Days are designed for children and their families to enjoy together.
