Library EventGirls Who Code Club

Girls Who Code Club is for girls and non-binary youth in grades 3-5 who are interested in learning how to code. No previous experience necessary! The goal of this club is to create a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models where students learn to see themselves as computer scientists. Participate in coding challenges using a platform called Scratch, and learn about the design of video games, digital art, and robots!

Girls Who Code Club meets from January 23 - May 7, on Tuesdays from 4-5pm in the Digital Media Lab on the 2nd floor. NO MEETING MARCH 12, MARCH 19, OR APRIL 16.

This club will be led by graduate students from the “Gateway to Psyience” group within the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Iowa.
