Movies are often based on books. Sometimes they are well done and fans of the book become fans of the film. Other times the words "based on a book" are little more than borrowing of the plot. Missing characters, changed endings or unrecognizable plots lead to a film that is so convoluted the original book is hardly recognizable.

While the movie could be a good movie, fans of the book may not feel the same. What are some of your favorite examples of the book being better than the movie?

Let's Talk Books is not a traditional book group. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month on Zoom to talk about our favorite books in a specific genre or on a set topic, and we each come away with some new titles to add to our too-be-read lists. Register here and you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom login details. You'll also get a reminder email a few days before the event. Everyone is welcome!
