Wednesday, September 30, 2015 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Meeting Room A, Meeting Room B, Meeting Room C
Part of the 2015 Carol Spaziani Intellectual Freedom Festival Join us for a discussion of "Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption" by Bryan Stevenson.
“Not since Atticus Finch has a fearless and committed lawyer made such a difference in the American South. Though larger than life, Atticus exists only in fiction. Bryan Stevenson, however, is very much alive and doing God’s work fighting for the poor, the oppressed, the voiceless, the vulnerable, the outcast, and those with no hope. Just Mercy is his inspiring and powerful story." - John Grisham
The book discussion will be led by the University of Iowa College of Law Associate Dean Emily Hughes, and Adrien Wing, Associate Dean for International and Comparative Law Programs at the University of Iowa and Director of the University of Iowa Center for Human Rights.
This event is open to the public.
