One way we can discover new stories around the world (and beyond) is to encourage cultural literacy. On Wednesdays, join us for an activity that will help us learn and understand something new about different world cultures. Dala horses (or Dalecarlian horses) are carved and painted wooden horses originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna. Originally made as toys for children, they are now a recognized symbol of Sweden. Today we will learn more about the lore and tradition of the Dala horse and create our own to take home!
