Press ReleaseICPL and UAY cosponsored Mission Creek Teen Concert April 4; Library to host several Mission Creek events April 5


The Iowa City Public Library and United Action for Youth have teamed up to co-sponsor a Mission Creek Teen Concert Friday, April 4.

Other Band, ConeTrauma, and Dion Jackson will perform in Meeting Room A from 7 to 9 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Mission Creek Teen Concert is a free concert for teens in grades 7-12.

The Library will host several Mission Creek events on Saturday, April 5.

Storytime with local bluegrass musician Jon Eric will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Meeting Room A.

A Youth Songwriting Workshop will be held at noon to 1 p.m. in Meeting Room A. This workshop is for students ages 12 through 18. Participants have the opportunity to perform their songs at the Youth Songwriting Workshop Performance, also on Meeting Room A, at 5 p.m. All instruments, including no instruments, are welcome.

The Library will host a taping of Chic-A-Go-Go from 3 to 4 p.m. in Meeting Room A. Children and their parents, are invited to be part of “Chicago's Dance Show for Kids of All Ages.”
