Press ReleaseICPL to Host Belly Babies for Expectant Parents

Parents expecting the pitter-patter of little feet are invited to the Iowa City Public Library’s Belly Babies Special Event.

Join us in the Children’s Room from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, for information and activities for parents-to-be. Attendees learn about the five early literacy practices, take home songs and rhymes to do with baby at home, and register for ICPL’s Belly Baby Reads program. They’ll also partake in specialized 30-minutes sessions about prenatal yoga, reading rituals, breast feeding and support, and doulas and baby wearing.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Attendees also will have a chance to win one of three door prizes, including a Prairie Lights gift card to start your baby’s library, a SKIP Hop Pronto Changing Station, and a Baby Einstein 5-in-1 Journey of Discovery Activity Gym.

Belly Babies is free to attend. For more information, call the Library at 319-356-5200.
