Iowa native Michelle Hoover, author of the critically acclaimed The Quickening, returns with a new novel, Bottomland, about a German family in Iowa dealing with Anti-German sentiment after World War I. Hoover will read from and discuss the book as part of this Iowa City Book Festival event.
