Press Releases

We are excited to announce our 125th Anniversary Summer Reading Program, which will include both in-person and virtual activities.

Local Libraries LIT (Listen, Initiate, Talk) will host Roxane Gay, award-winning author, professor, editor, and social commentator, during a unique hour-long online program featuring a reading and opportunity to interact.

The Iowa City Public Library (ICPL) will adjust the Phase 3 guidelines of its reopening plan beginning Friday, April 2, 2021. Until further notice, computer sessions will be limited to 30 minutes and browsing will be limited to 15 minutes.

Local Libraries LIT (Listen, Initiate, Talk), is a unique partnership between the public libraries in Coralville, Iowa City, and North Liberty, and the University of Iowa Libraries with support from The Tuesday Agency.

Phase 4 of the Library’s reopening plan welcomes patrons indoors for browsing.

Express Access provides the public with an opportunity to come into the building again for limited visits.
