Adults and teens (Grade 7 and up) are eligible to participate in the volunteer program. Current openings are often posted in the Library’s lobby.
Possible Jobs
Roles will be discussed during an interview but here are some possible options:
- Children's Services: craft preparation, cleaning, program assistance, or general office tasks
- Community and Access Services: welcome desk, collection inspection, sorting, straightening, cleaning, or special programs
- Development Office: Book End store, book sorting, special book sales, or data entry
- Teen Services: straightening, cleaning, tutoring, ideas, programming, outreach, or tours
Time Commitment
Whether you hope to volunteer weekly, monthly, or occasionally, we will do our best to work with your schedule. Each department has a minimum expected time and commitment of attendance.

We do background checks on most volunteer positions. Volunteers who are considered will need to fill out Criminal History Record Check Request Form to authorize this check.
