ICPL Staff Top Picks for 2013: Children's Books


We all know reading to kids is important. Studies have shown over half of a child’s total intellectual development occurs before he or she enters school. Research also confirms reading success starts from the time a child is born and preschoolers’ earliest experiences with books are an important part of their development.

But reading the same book over and over can get tiresome. Luckily, many wonderful children's books were released this year. Our favorites were so entertaining, we asked the kids if we could read it again instead of the other way around!
