One way we can discover new stories around the world (and beyond) is to encourage cultural literacy. On Wednesdays, join us for an activity that will help us learn and understand something new about different world cultures. Ddakji, sometimes called ttakji, is a traditional South Korean game played using folded paper tiles. It is similar to the American game of Pogs that was popular in the 1990s, but All you need to play are the folded origami ddakji tiles. Today we will learn more about South Korea, create our own playing tiles and have the chance to try out the game together! Iowa City Public Library Iowa City Public Library America/Chicago public
