Storytime Room
The 2020 Census, which counts every person in America, is coming up - join us for a storytime to learn all about it! We'll read books, sing songs, play instruments, and more, all celebrating counting concepts. Then, get your questions answered about the Census and pick up a U.S. Census Bureau giveaway.
The U.S. Census counts every single person living in America. The first one was in 1790, and it's happened every 10 years since then. The census form asks a few questions about each person who lives in your home. This information is kept confidential - no one can get in trouble for their answers. The information is used to produce statistical data that guides the distribution of money for highway construction, Head Start, natural disaster preparedness, housing assistance for older adults, and more.
This interactive storytime for all ages and stages combines books, rhymes, songs, and movement. Join us for fun and early literacy enrichment!
