Library EventSunday Fun Day: Birdseed Treats

Kit only

Kit available for pickup Mar 29 - Apr 4, 2021

Registration is closed.

We are celebrating the arrival of Spring and Earth Day in April, so we will be featuring a new nonfiction picture book about appreciating nature each week that will be always available to borrow online via our Digital Library collection Overdrive for the entire month of April using the app Libby. This week we are highlighting the book A Nest Is Noisy by Dianna Hutts Aston, which delves into the natural world to depict some of the many wonderful ways that birds and other animals prepare to house and protect their young .Pick up a kit this week to make some birdseed treats to give energy to local birds as they prepare their homes for their eggs and young birds this spring! We will provide a cookie cutter shape, but if you have some at home you can use those as well!

Register for Sunday Fun Day Craft-To-Go Kits from the events page with the registration link below. Kits can be reserved through this calendar event and picked up during our Lobby Grab and Go hours, from 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday and noon-5pm on Sunday. Limit to one kit per child in a household. A new craft kit will be offered every Monday and be available until Saturday or as supplies last, so check out the calendar for new crafts weekly!

We are decreasing the amount of reserved spots, but we will have extra crafts available in the lobby throughout the week, so if you're not sure if you will be able to come pick up your crafts or miss registration, consider coming to the library to grab one in the lobby.

If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
