07/01/2021 10:30am 07/01/2021 11:00am SRP Outdoor Thursday Specials: Dance Me a Story with Ballet QC Join us in North Market Square Park on Thursdays for special summer kids' programming for all ages! Note, parking for this event is street parking only in the neighborhood around the park near Horace Mann Elementary. Please bring your own blanket or chairs for seating. This is a storytime, a dance class, and dress-up fun all in one! Dance Me a Story ties together ballet performances and the literature that inspires the choreography. Ballet QC dancers will read a story and explore and teach the dance movement. Little dancers will also have the opportunity to see costumes, head pieces, props and pointe shoes—all important elements to bring the story to life. Remember that while movement is encouraged during this program, social distance is still required. Traditionally at ICPL, we have offered fun and exciting special programs for the whole family on Thursdays! After a long hiatus from in-person programming, we are offering a limited series of outdoor programming to be safely enjoyed for all ages with safety precautions in place. Masks are required, as well as families sitting and remaining socially distant from individuals not in their group. Note: In inclement weather, this event will be canceled in-person, but if possible, we will try to offer a virtual alternative.
