09/30/2021 7:00pm 09/30/2021 8:00pm Make A Book Nook - Session 1

Wouldn’t your bookcase be more interesting with a secret portal into the world of your favorite book, a touch of fantasy, or a sweet little scene of a cozy reading spot? Make your own book nook, a narrow box that fits among your books, that you decorate with miniature items, paint, decorations, and lights!

Join us for an overview of the possibilities and guidance from an award winning member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts on ways to build inexpensive handmade components that look realistic. You’ll receive a blank box (a cardboard box that's 8" tall, 4" wide and 8" deep), a short string of LED lights, and some basic supplies with your registration during the first of three sessions.

Join us for some or all of the series:

  • September 30th: Receive basic supplies, learn about the process of creating book nooks, brainstorm ideas, and listen to an experienced miniature artist.
  • October 9th: Work session: Continue working on your book nook. Some additional supplies will be provided but bring any special miniature items you'll need to customize your little space.
  • October 30th: Add any finishing touches to your book nook, join us for a hot beverage, and peruse other creations. Register here to reserve your supplies for pick-up at the September 30 event or afterwards at the Info Desk.
