03/08/2022 7:00pm 03/08/2022 8:00pm Let's Talk Books: Women in STEM The STEM acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math was introduced in 2001 by the U.S. National Science Foundation, which means the genre "Women is STEM" is relatively new as well and can apply to either fiction or non-fiction works. Fiction books that have women in STEM can be anwhere: Romances, Science Fiction, Mysteries or any other subgenre, while nonfiction titles will focus on women in any of the sciences - many of whom are unknown or little known to the public. Pick some of your favorites and join us for the discussion or just join us to hear what others have liked. Looking for books on Women in STEM? Try searching the subject "women in STEM" in either the ICPL Catalog or on Goodreads.com. Not quite a book group, Let's Talk Books is a series of casual conversations about books where we meet to talk about some of our favorite reads. We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evening of each month with a different theme each time. Join us for your favorite genres to chat with like-minded readers.
