Saturday, June 28, 2025 - 10:00am to 11:30am
As part of the "Color Our World" Summer Reading Program, the UI Stanley Museum of Art will be hosting a special version of their Blue Tour just for Adult Summer Reading Program participants.
Surveys have shown that blue is the world's favorite color, but it is a color of contrasting meanings: the calmness and serenity of a cloudless sky or a still body of water; the harshness and sadness of ice and cold. Sometimes blue is used sparingly as an accent, and other times, it makes up an entire background. This tour will focus on the blues in the collection, noting its significance across time and cultures.
We will meet at the Stanley Museum at 9:55am for a 10:00 tour. Registration is required, and this tour is for adults only and limited to 25 people
